Collin Morikawa and Max Homa, who both played their college golf at University of California, Berkeley, and who both played in the Southwestern Amateur, got themselves into serious contention at the 2024 Masters, each taking a share of the lead before ultimately finishing in a tie for third.

We first got to see Max play in the 2010 Southwestern Amateur, and met Collin five years later at the 2015 event.
