SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

Corporate, retail and individual donors are invited to become a sponsor of the Southwestern Amateur golf tournament to be held at Desert Mountain. Desert Mountain is the home of the event through 2024. The Southwestern Golf Association (SWGA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports the tournament and promotes amateur golf in the Southwest. It has been the funding source for the tournament, other than player entry fees and sponsorships. Historically, the Southwestern Amateur has been exclusively a men’s tournament but starting in 2021, recognizing the growth in women’s golf, the SWGA incorporates a women division and crowns its own champion.

The move to Desert Mountain, with its renowned Nicklaus Signature courses, world-class practice facilities, and on-property housing, is expected to raise the visibility of the tournament, as well as elevate it into one of the nation’s top amateur tournaments. However, in order to reach national stature the SWGA is seeking sponsorships. For the past several years, golf rounds have been down 2.3 percent across the country. One of the best ways to rekindle interest in the game is with young amateur golfers. This is your opportunity to contribute to the next generation of golf stars.

We offer you or your company an opportunity to sponsor, within your budget, the tournament and these young players.

In return for your commitment, your organization will be recognized in various promotional ways, from signage to the player and spectator programs, as well as through media exposure generated for the tournament and its players. In addition, participation will not only demonstrate your support of the Southwestern Amateur but could potentially create new relationships within the SWGA and the local golf industry.

If you would like to learn more about these opportunities, please contact John Ranslem, SWGA Executive Director, at 480-695-4071 or by sending him an email at the link below. Additionally, if you’d like to help better the tournament, donations are graciously accepted.

INTERESTED IN BEING A VOLUNTEER?

Every year a key to the success of running the Southwestern Amateur tournament are the volunteers who provide support for on-course player scoring, ball spotting, shuttle driving, and numerous other activities.

We are looking for volunteers wishing to work either a single day, two, three, or all four days. Volunteers may request their preference on assignments, and every attempt is made to meet personal request.

All volunteers receive a free golf shirt, breakfast and lunch.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Franklin Roth at FranklinDRoth@outlook.com.
