Max Homa, who last competed in the Southwestern Amateur eleven years ago, picked up his second PGA Tour victory in dramatic fashion, defeating Tony Finau on the second playoff hole at Riviera Country Club after missing a three-footer for the win on the final hole of regulation.
It was an emotional win for the L.A. native who grew up close to Riviera and for whom the Genesis Invitational win was a childhood dream come true.
With the win, Homa becomes just the latest Southwestern Amateur alum to go on to win a PGA Tour event.
