2024 Southwestern Women’s Amateur champion Leigh Chien picked up her second big win of the summer at the Girls High School Golf National Invitational, run by the PGA of America and played over three courses in North Texas.

Chien, who pulled away from the field for a 6-shot win at Desert Mountain, had to go overtime in Texas, surviving a four-hole playoff against Olivia Hung after both players shot an amazing 19 under par for three rounds. The former Junior Ryder Cupper also lead her California (SMC) team to a resounding 39-shot win in the team competition.

“We as a team work together in our pressures and to set up a game plan that works well for us, and that all just added up,” said Chien.
