2015 and 2016 Southwestern Amateur participants Brandon Wu and Sahith Theegala were recently in the news for their amateur accomplishments.

Wu is thought to be the first amateur since 1967 to qualify without an exemption for both the US Open and the Open Championship in the same year. Wu was recently named to the 2019 Walker Cup team. Read more about Brandon….

Theegala finished second to Pepperdine teammate Joe Highsmith at the Sahalee Players Championship in Sammamish, Washington. He followed this up winning the SCGA Amateur at Lakeside G&CC in Burbank, CA.  Read more….
