A note to male golfers in Arizona: there will be a one-time conflict between the Southwestern Amateur and the Arizona (Men’s) Amateur Championship in 2026. The SW Am is scheduled for June 10-13 at Desert Mountain, while the AZ Am is set for June 8-13 at Tucson Country Club.

This conflict was unavoidable and will only affect the 2026 championship; starting in 2027, the Arizona Amateur will move one week later in June.

The SWGA understands that players may elect to play in the state amateur in 2026, and doing so will in no way affect future invitations to the Southwestern Amateur.

The SWGA and our partner AZ GOLF look forward to hosting back-to-back championships starting in 2027.
